Valentine's Day Woes

2nd Bloggity blog for the night. Yayyy.

Everyone knows Valentine's Day is just another day to hate being single.
I mean, you can be like "LOL I DON'T NEED A WO/MAN IN MY LIFE! I CAN PROVIDE FOR ME!"
And then you go outside and wham! Fucking couples everywhere.

And it hurts bro, and I know you've seen/posted this picture EVERYWHERE, but it actually sums up how a lot of people feel:

Nexon made a new MS game

I didn't even have to edit the game files to get this...

Let's teach kids that science, the exploration of everything in the natural world can help. GG Nexon.

This game is terrible. The controls are awkward. The "story" is awful, and badly translated. The graphics are crap. The quests are boring, all of...

Rage

I wanted to by L4D2 in the Steam sale, so I log in, add it to my cart and try to buy it.

PayPal fails first time.

Repeat. Fails again. Repeat. Another failure. Repeat. 3rd failure.

Fourth attempt worked, and in case you're wondering why I tried four times, it's because I expect PayPal to fail first time with Steam. It has in the past (read bottom to top):

So I see my inbox light...

Stupid things Angramainyu says #12

[quote=Angra]When I initially composed "On Satanism," I did so in response to a number of threads wherein misguided users accused us of murderous, conspirative and otherwise illegal and iniquitous behaviors. My thread, though written from a wholly objective perspective at the time, was confronted with baseless cynicisms, eventually climaxing in childish ad hominem attacks and patent nonsense. One user, refusing to be coerced by my...

I hate my laptop

It currently has some problem, where if I try to boot from a CD/ DVD, the drive sounds like it's having a heart attack and the disc doesn't load. This only seems to happen with certain discs:

Works as expected
Dell Windows Vista SP1
Dell Inspiron drivers and utilities DVD
OpenSUSE 11.1 (self burnt)
Pirate edition of Win7
Ubuntu 5.04 Live CD (shipit)

Crashes and burns
Ubuntu 9.10 (shipit)

A series of rants

Cyber-bullying
Last week, BBC Radio 1 has been having some anti-bullying week, with a focus on "Cyber-bullying", with "Cyber-bullying" beiing piece of shit meaningless buzzword.

Their whole focus is getting bullied over IT related mediums, which in my opinion is both stupid and ignorant of the basic premises of the mediums. Just about every site nowadays has block functions, hell, you can't see a...

Hacking the school's computers.

The IT people didn't bother making the image that was displayed on the log in screen read only.

Later we found a way to get all the teachers usernames, so we used the school's website to brute force accounts. 17 out of 70 teachers used "password", "123456" or "qwerty" as their password. Using a teacher account to remote control...
