So I've been away for a while. Again. I suppose I'm the wandering lurker. Anyways, lot's happened... Ok well a bit anyways. So I'll get into it:
Work:
I've mentioned before that I was a dispatcher for roadside assistance. Well, I recently got promoted and am now a response specialist for the BMW Assist Program... It's basically the OnStar for BMW. We provide emergency response, accident notification, roadside...

As I have mentioned in an earlier blog, I work at a roadside assistance dispatch center. As such, I deal on a daily basis with approximately 60 customers, each of which need some form of roadside assistance, of which 25% are at home, 20% are in parking lots of businesses, 50% are on major highways, and 5% are in the middle of nowhere. Now, the 25% who are at home are easy to deal with. We usually have their address on file, and just need to...

Watching an episode of Mythbusters today, I found myself extremely surprised to find out that when a car runs off a cliff, it's highly unlikely that it will explode. I remember several times in which I had seen a movie or a show in which the protagonist's vehicle fell off a cliff but didn't explode, and the character(s) got to safety. During those scenes I was thinking "that car would have blown up!!!"...

If I could invent anything, it would be a pause/slow button. Srs. What would it do? Freeze time, of course! No, I'm not talking about the hypertime-watch from Clockstoppers, nor a time machine that gives free reign of traveling through the space-time continuum (for obvious risks of altering history), simply the ability to pause everything around me, or slow it down. Why would I want to do something like that? The reasons are...

Soooooo as you may have noticed, I haven't posted in forever! For. Ev. Er! Wellll here's what's been going on since the last time I posted:
MapleGeek has had uber-major drama going on, and I haven't been playing it for like a month, because one of their GMs gets on my nerves to the extent that I just can't play there anymore. I now play...

Ok, so like, I haven't been around for a while, cos I got distracted by..... ...... ..... stuff. N-e-waiz, not much interesting or new here, still looking for a job IRL, being my family's housemaid since I can't pay rent atm, and being bored out my ass all day. Oh, and I started to teach myself guitar. I printed out a chart of guitar chords and am practicing them, as well as learning how to play "Welcome Home...

Some of you may remember MapleGeek, a rather large forum community that had a private server for a short time. Well, I was one of their core members, under the username LiteralLight. I got to participate in their Alpha testing, from which I have a video on my youtube account. The full server itself was only up for a couple of months before the owner closed it down. This was because people accused him of using the donation money for himself....

Today, Monday, August 24th, is the day that all public school students in the county go back to school, and likewise, all public school employees as well. Anyone want to take a gander at what this means for me? Well I'll tell you: I get the house all to myself from about 6:00 a.m. to ~3:30 p.m.! Granted, there are a few chores I have to keep up with, but that's all easy as cake, and I'll do that shyt later. Right now,...

We are so much alike and yet we're so far apart,
Unknowingly intertwined, and you took a piece of my heart.
I reach out to you, the blood spilling down my chest,
But you just turn and walk away, saying you know what's best.
I'm not you're type, so "We" just can't be.
But how can I just stuff these feelings inside?
We're meant for each other but you refuse to see,
You're stuck behind your...

In the midst of a bout of boredom, I downloaded the Global Maplestory client and logged into my Cleric, which is level 33. I played for a while but got bored, again. Therefore, I decided to see what all the craze was about with Knights of Cygnus. I created one named iRawkKoC about an hour and a half ago. I am now a level 22 Dawn Warrior, and it's freaking awesome!
First off, talking to all the NPCs right around where you start gets...

So. Yesterday, my mom started going back to work at the elementary school, and since my dad is already working as well, she took my little brothers to daycare. Haaalelujiah. Today, they were gone again. I got to sleep in until 9:00~ish, and woke up to the beautiful sound of silence. No little brothers running through the house screaming at each other, no "iCarly" theme song playing (They've been watching it for the past...

I'm going to tell you a story. It's kind of long so feel free to just stop reading if you want, I won't blame you.
Back before I was a teenager, we lived in a city about fifteen miles south of where we live now. The city could pretty much fit in the lake that's in the middle of the city we live in now, and the lake's not that big... Driving from one end to the other of this city, Lake Placid, literally takes five...

A voice cut through his reverie... "Hey, Shale, napping on the job?"
"Sorry boss." Shale quickly replied. "I was just-"
"I know, she's a beauty isn't she? Hasn't been a single newbie out here who hasn't done the same thing once or twice. Just remember that every breath we take on a space walk costs NASA thousands of dollars, ok?"
"Right boss, we've got a job to...

The following is a short piece of fiction that I wrote when I was mad at my dad. (Yeah, I have no idea how being mad at my dad gave birth to this O_o)
[i]The sound of short intermittent beeps from his vitals monitor insisted that he was alive, but Shale wasn't so sure. He had to force himself to remember to breathe as he marveled at the sight before him. Thousands of miles "below" him, the green-blue beauty of the planet...
