I really don't know what prompted me to write this, but yeah. I wrote it on a whim; interpret it as you will.

A heavy sigh escapes from his lips.

All around him is the sound of silence, resonating in his ears.

He picks himself up and adopts a standing position because, for one reason or another, he has been lying on the ground for the longest time. But then again, time is a subjective quantity. His legs automatically...

I miss having English.

Will I one day hear the sound
Of the lone lark that cries?
In the silence of my soul
I hear the roaring stillness

Will I one day see the wings
Which exalt power and eloquence?
The wind that blows constantly
Blows in my eyes and makes me blind

There is no darkness whereon I stand
Upon the ground in an open field
I look up and reach towards the skies
That forever lies beyond my grasp

Sweet is the sound of my newborn wings

Just so I can clear up any misunderstanding: the title of this blog is from a very good song by some very good singers =). My choir is performing this song soon too! Below is a video of this very good song.

In other news, I finally got around to my first driving lesson this afternoon! The first thing I did wrong was go 60 km/hr. on a small street; I'm already walking along the path of being a bad Asian...

I Am a Youth Inclined to Ramble

I've been doing Stoichiometry for gases for the past hour [4NH3(g) + 5O2(g) ----> 6H2O(l) + 4NO(g)], so I thought I deserved a break and decided to ramble here on Vutales. You guys are the poor, unfortunate people who have to read this crap.

So, I was on a music tour from Thursday to Sunday this weekend; we went to Nelson, BC. Well, to be specific, we...

Tomorrow, tomorrow, and tomorrow

Before I even get started, the blog title has absolutely no relationship to what I'm going to write. I just though it sounded cool (and for the people who don't know, it's from Macbeth's famous...monologue?).

Meh,'s another blog that will most likely bore you, because, once again, my life is average (I know I'm ripping off of MLIA).

Yay, I didn't have to wake up early today (well,...

The Anti-Blog

[s]Today was the worst day in my life. I found out that I had failed all my classes, and that my best friend from Gr. 2 had deserted me for the popular kids in my school. Damn that b*tch; I bet it's because she didn't want to hang out with a 'loser' like me. When class was finished, I saw her hanging out with her new 'popular' possy. Anyway, I decided to wander around, because my parents are always fighting, and...

What Math Does to You....

I swear I'm going insane, and Math is speeding up the process.

*note: if you get this, you're insane too*

ASTC = All Strippers Take Cash
Soh Cah Toa
Speical Angles in radians
Trig ratios for the speical triangles and the trick to remembering them.

[/end rant]

Wow; I realize how pathetic I am everyday.

The Unexciting Woes of Everyday Life

Wow, everyone's life sounds so exciting (for the better or worse) around here; it makes me feel more plain and ordinary than usual (think I stated this already on my other blog). But hey; ordinary people have their problems too, right? It won't be on the magnitude of...say, my parents are getting a divorce *knock on wood* or an earthquake just hit my area, but it's enough to make me want to kill someone sometimes.

I just...

The Pro's and Con's of School

Well, three "real" days of school have passed for me, and so much as happened already. It's not fair to say school is a complete hell, but it isn't exactly the days of the easier grades anymore. Of course, good things tend to over-shadow the bad. So, let's get on with it (no, you sick-minded people, not that way...).

I wanted to switch Marketing with Psychology, and got it. Man,...

Random Musings

After reading some of the blogs on here, I've come to realize just how boring my life is. Well, I already knew it was already quite boring, but seeing stuff you've never experienced in your life happen to real people (not T.V.) just brings that fact home. Sure, I should be happy with my boring, yet healthy and normal life, but it's boring; sometimes, I wished something life-changing would happen to me. Maybe...

QoTW #20 - Winter's Trance

Silently, it falls -
Winter's melody sings with
Dancing of snowflakes

Hm, I don't usually write haikus. We don't have to write more than one verse, right (because I don't think they're supposed to have more than one anyway)?

Gonna see a Final Fantasy concert!

Ah, I love today. <3

I received a little pamphlet from the VSO (Vancouver Symphony Orchestra) this morning, and somehow decided to flip through it. Most of it was just the usual Bach, Beethoven, Mozart...etc., but when I got to the special concerts section, a little something caught my eye. "Distant Worlds: music from Final Fantasy" was going to have a concert HERE on October 8th! Cue instant purchasing of tickets ($65 each,...

Again, alone.

Poem time! I don't know what inspired this, but in my mind, all I could see was a grass field; the flowers and grass were dancing in the wind.

A lonely light that flickers in the wind
A thousand words that we have left unsaid
In only utter silence your voice is heard
The mournful sound that breaks my heart to hear

I stand in a field of swaying flowers
The sky cries above, tears fall on me
The touch you left is still...

Time Flies, eh?

Oh wow, I've finally come to the realization that my high school life more than half over. This time next year, I'll have to start preparing for university. Things just hit you, don't they? Just thinking about my courses next year frighten me.

Math 12
Chemistry 11 Honours
Physics 11 Honours
Social Studies 11
Mandarin 12
Accounting 11
Chamber Choir

And since I have two free blocks due to...

Asian parents...

...are so annoying. It's like they live to nag you about every 0.1% of your grade. Have you ever came home with your report card, dreading to show that damn piece of paper to your parents because you know they're never going to be happy about it? Well then, you probably have Asian parents.

EVERY year, they just stare at it and point out all the flaws.

"What?! You dropped 3 percent in Math? Only 92% now?!"
