Combat Arms suuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkkkkkssssssssssssssssss
play some CS:S if you want a real mans fps, or some cod4
It sucks because you fail at it? People rip at CA because they don't know how to control the high recoil in the game.
CS:S is not a real FPS, rofl. It's a crap game with enlarged head hitboxes. It's just a retarded version of 1.6
CoD4 is shit too, it's a bad game and doesn't deserve a title as an FPS.
Play me in 1.6 or Condition Zero and we'll see. =^-^=

No, Combat Arms sucks ass because the maps are sh*t, there are too many hackers (cough), and I simply hate games where you buy your equipment outside of the game rooms. It's too unbalanced that way. I mean, people who have NX Cash will have better stuff and a higher chance of winning (if they can use the equipment effectively, that is) than those who don't. Nexon sucks.
NX Cash provides no bonus, it just gives different skins. I have beaten people who have NX cash, it's nothing of an advantage.
The maps are actually well designed out, it's just a matter of opinion. Just because you failed to utilize the map to it's full advantage you call it crap?
No.
Btw, I've quit hacking about 3 months after this game came out. I've been legit for more than a year.
Frick, I play Halo and I don't really give a crap about maps. It's all the same. Jump, crouch, shotgun, teabag.
Combat Arms is pretty much the same too, except without the jumping. It's more camping.
You mention failing to utilize the maps to their full potential. I'm good at FPSs. My KD wasn't bad. If my computer wasn't a freaking integrated-motherboard laptop, I would probably do extremely well. And I still stand by my statement. THE MAPS ARE CRAP. What you said is BULLSHIT.
And back to the fact of buying your equipment outside of the games. Let's say the map was a huge ass one. Some people on your team equip themselves with a sniper rifle. You have a regular rifle, with the attached scope. You're bound to be killed a lot more than the people with the sniper rifles. With buying your weapons and equipment outside of the games, you have to take into consideration trying to save money, and personally, I wouldn't join a certain type of map just because it fits my gun better. I prefer buying the games ingame for the first 10 seconds in the spawn area buy zone, so you can purchase different weapons depending on how you feel of the map and your opponents.
I don't think it's proper in a FPS to take into account how long a person has played, whether if they are buying the special "cash" or the gun (which ultimately reflects upon the map). I still support the original Terrorist - Counter-terrorist gameplay, in which you start with a little bit of cash, and gain more from the people you've killed, and at the beginning of each round.
But of course, of all the free FPSs out there, Combat Arms exceeds them. But then again, best of the worst isn't something worth praising.
EDIT: And by the way, don't go flaming Halo just because I mentioned it. It just happens to be my favourite. I've played FPSs since I was three, starting with Goldeneye.
spade I love you and Kevin I want to eat you
CoD4 is not a FPS?
Say that to millions of fans.
Seriously? -_- Combat Arms is designed by NEXON. Anything incorporated by NEXON is crap, unless they have a secondary developer for it. NEXON said in a statement that CA was designed to be an ARCADE-style FPS, while proper FPS Games are developed by real companies such as Infinity Ward. -_-
Don't trust me?
Also, concerning maps... the maps are memorizable in CA, while in larger games like CoD4 or Halo 3, you're looking at a lot more skill involved.
Combat Arms IS fun because it's style is different - but that does NOT mean that CoD4 isn't a FPS. ._.
Arly, we played you in CA. You weren't very good...
We've only gotten better, by the way. I understand the complaint about buying stuff outside of individual games, but if you're good enough you can overcome it easily. I went 45-15 in Snow Valley, a map heavily favoring snipers, with only an assault rifle. What it comes down to is how you like the style of play in that game. War Rock's probably my favorite FPS (I'd play it more if it wasn't for the lag) because of the arcade style. It's not realistic at all, but it's a blast. It's unlike any other FPS. However, a lot of people hate it for not mirroring reality. It's all in what type of game you want.
Tarheel, you forgot that my computer was crap. I'm good on Unreal Tournament though (since it's old and has crappy graphics). I can give you my specs right now. The most intense thing I could play without lag (but it's there in the Free Market too!) is MapleStory.

Effing integrated Intel chipset. 'nuff said.
No, but the thing is, this IS a new computer. Just really cheap. (Laptop)
I'm hoping I can get an external video card...
If they even exist, anyways.
Arly, may I present you this picture of me using only a G36E while the other team had only sniper rifles.
