I like the re-writes to did for mine, but should I put in exact skill increases? (Faith's Edge could give x3 speed for 1 turn, 4 uses, etc?)

@Zhlink: I'll get pictures up in a minute. This is more a quick reference list than a qualitative archive, but it won't kill me to just throw picture links in.

@Pirkid: Well, the problem with that is that two characters already have a speed boost skill, x2 for 3 uses. If I gave you x3 for 4 that would be unfair to them.. and this isn't just a speed boost for you, it's also a climb skill. I'll let you pick x1.5 for 3 uses with a bonus for climbing, or else the same bonus and x2 for 2 uses. x3 is sort of alot, that's going from fastest human running speed of about ~23 mph to ~69 mph, cheetah running speed, and four uses/episode would mean you can pull that stunt 40 minutes out of an hour. However buff, Innes is a human with a [1] fort save, I think that kind of thing would give him a heart attack.

*ahem* Pardon my math error. It'd be closer to 176.4 mph. >_> You can see why I don't allow this.

x1.5 with 3 sounds useful, because of the climbing agility. And I agree with the fort save, his heart is weak.
Or if I had x2.5 for 2 uses with climbing? No, wait, never mind.

I just wanted the highest default speed, but I'm supposed that skills are going ot be used almost all the time, so alright. Okay.

I'm finally understanding the mechanics of this. xD

EDIT: Gandalf's Sagacity gives me +3 reflex when I need it because of my char's nature, so that's fine. Okay, never mind my previous comment.

Yeah, the mechanics are kinda weird because they're very compact. I'm still tweaking them.

The only person here who will be faster than you is Impeh's character, and then not by much. You'll both auto-pass reflex saves with the right combination of skills.

The way I'm doing speed is pretty simple.. average human ability is 10 for any given statistic. Average human running speed is 10 mph. That's just a coincidence, but it offers a good starting point. 1 point =/= 1 mph, though. The graph of points vs. actual speed is y = (1/10)(x^2).

So let's say both you and Imppala use your speed skills:
You: 14 * 1.5 = 21 speed
Him: 14 * 2 = 28 speed

y = (1/10)(21^2) = You move at 44.1 mph.
y = (1/10)(28^2) = He moves at 78.4 mph.

On the other hand, this is for flat terrain. Because you climb things better, a chase involving steep hills our difficult navigation of obstacles will tend to favor you more. There's also somewhat of a random element thrown in.
