The QoTW: Question: How will you describe yourself musically?
Short description: If you could use a song (or several, if you can't make up your mind, you indecisive person) to describe yourself, which would you choose? Why?

I'm hardly a music person, and the only time I'd ever listen to music is on the computer. And even then hardly anything tickles my fancy, so I'm a boring person. Since I'm a nerd, most of my music interests are based on video game music, techno, and miscellaneous late-night rave songs, but who's to say thems are good listenings?!
So, uh, since I'm not a music junkie or anything, I'll just post a few of my favorite songs:

It's awesome how this is used as the Youtube-tag example on the Help page.

Best song in Brawl hands down. Here is a nice remix of the ORIGINAL version I just found on Newgrounds. Personally I like the Brawl version over the original, but either way it's an epic song.

Another classic DKC song.

Brawl remix of Gangplank Galleon (song above).

Dr. Wily's theme from Megaman 2! Who doesn't recognize this song?

I spent one of my first few days unlocking songs in Brawl when I first got it just so I could just get this one and Bramble Blast.

Banjo-Kazooie is full of epic scores, but the final battle with Gruntilda tops 'em all.

Remix of Gruntilda's Lair found in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts 'n' Bolts.

This is just a random favorite of mine from Sonic Adventures DX.

This was one of my favorite songs from Ape Escape on the Playstation. I think I had a Playstation before the N64, and Ape Escape was one of my favorites at the time. I lost interest though when I forgot to save after a day's worth of hard work. T_T

Awesome boss music from Tales of Symphonia (one of my favorite games).

This is a random song from Paper Mario where you have to beat up some Monty Moles. I always enjoyed listening to it.

This is the song from the last boss in Mario and Luigi RPG 3 (on its way to America). It was pretty intense the first time I heard it.

Omfg, Venus Lightouse! This song is way up there on my favorite songs of all time list— somewhere at #1 or #2, I'm not kidding. The Golden Sun games have fantastic music.

Epic way to end Golden Sun: The Lost Ages.

Bowser battle from Super Mario Galaxy. An outstanding song and probably the best music ever from a Bowser battle.

This was always one of my favorite early Kirby songs. This was the SSB version, but it was originally from Kirby: Superstar Ultra.

The rival/friend battle music from Poke'mon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. It's one of my favorites along with the Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald version:

Yeah, I even have play lists on Youtube for random video game songs and Mario Paint videos. And I have the entire Super Smash Bros. Brawl sound track on my phone. @_@

~Cheezy (one last song)

All of the TOS music is great.

Sadly, this is the best boss music. From the Legend of Dragoon

A lot of the stuff on NG's audio portal is better than this. :/

It is a nice playlist if you ever get bored of everything else and just listen to techno. :) It doesn't really answer the QoTW though.

I have a feeling the song you hyperlinked with your name is a rickroll. You know, being you and all.

Mon Apr 13, 2009 01:33 AM +

It is. ;)

I get like halfway between the song when I murder my rival in D/P/P; too easy lol.

Uh, ambiguous post? Lemme try to clear things up the way I see you're saying them:

1.) The originals usually own any remakes seen on Newgrounds, especially if they're by Nintendo or a cooperating third-party company.

2.) I answered the QoTW; I showed how much of a geek I am with these videos. And, uh, the examples of having the Brawl OST on my phone and play lists further establishes that. >O

It's ambiguous because I don't want to seem like a flamer, in which case Vusys would ban me. D:

Anyway, I'm not talking about the remixes. Look at people like F777 and NemesisTheory. I think their stuff are way better, and they're only like 20.

Ah, okay. And ParagonX9 is a pretty kick-ass artist as well.

Excellent playlist, I listen to most of these songs myself.
Yes, you're a nerd. But just giving us a lot of songs to listen to doesn't describe how it defines your, 'nerd' attributes. :)

David, you have any more good artists on Newgrounds I can listen to?

These people hit the top, I like their music:
