FancyBox isn't the greatest for stuff like that imo. Maybe the 2.x branch is better, but it's not as free as 1.x .

I was thinking VuT 4 would use jQuery UI instead.

VuT4 is a long, long way away really. But the main things:

Unicode handled in a way that isn't retarded
Improved BBCode parser (which might be backported into VuT3)
Improved DB stuff, ie moving from mysql_* to PDO
Couple pages I want to redesign, notable the dashboard.
