School blog before school.

I don't start school until next Thursday, but I figured a blog about school before school would still be appropriate so when I look back at the end of this year, I can read my initial thoughts.



So in about a week I'll be starting the 11th grade. The final chapter of my high school life, the grande finale I guess.
I'm pretty pumped. I know it's gonna be an excellent year, just like all my others.


Tbh, I hate my school and I hate studying. But I love the people in it. All the good memories everyone can share on a general aspect (like that time this awesome black guy asked during a career choice assembly where he could cook 'black people' food as a living.)

I've changed a lot since coming to this school in the 7th grade. Not the same stupid,pussy,awkward 12 year old I once was.

I've now embraced my extrovert-ish lifestyle. And I'm totally digging it. All the parties I've ever been to, the crazy-drug induced problems/experiences, I love 'em all. They've taught me lessons & created memories I won't forget for a long time,


I'm almost pumped for college too. Not only cuz you know, it's something new. But I'll almost be turning 18. Finally be able to buy alcohol the right way :)

Yeah, to add to what Nass said, Montreal/Quebec has the Secondaire system, which is basically 5 years of school after 6th grade, you take an exam to get into the private ones, although some public ones require an exam as well. There are also 2 schools that do not require exams, might be more now, idk.

So it goes up to 11th grade. HOWEVER, after that, Cegep is mandatory if you want to go to university, unless you're super smart/athletic and universities want you. Cegep is usually 2 years for those going to good schools, but again, if you are smart/an overachiever you can go on to university just after 1.

It's a matter of choice, but yes, "high school" stops at 11th grade. :3 Get all the entry-level jobs one year earlier than in the United States.

I'm not mad tho. All high schools are an eye sore anyway. Least the colleges look pretty, On the other hand....going to high school drunk would be awesome.

@David: Only if you're taking an Enriched program then you gotta take an exam (for public schools anyway)

1. I'll probably end up being the designated driver in the future, and

2. I'm already pretty FUBAR as is. Casual intakes of drugs will not likely help.

well I wasn't only talking about you.
I just got this belief where if you are healthy and stuff, everyone should try drugs (of their choosing obviously) once. AT LEAST smoke weed * successfully*

Like there was this one guy who went to my school last year. Real quiet dude, maybe like 3 friends. Rolled at his house once, next school day he starts talking and shit. I mean sure it still didn't gain him a million friends, but he's a lot happier from what I've seen.
