Yeah, to add to what Nass said, Montreal/Quebec has the Secondaire system, which is basically 5 years of school after 6th grade, you take an exam to get into the private ones, although some public ones require an exam as well. There are also 2 schools that do not require exams, might be more now, idk.
So it goes up to 11th grade. HOWEVER, after that, Cegep is mandatory if you want to go to university, unless you're super smart/athletic and universities want you. Cegep is usually 2 years for those going to good schools, but again, if you are smart/an overachiever you can go on to university just after 1.
It's a matter of choice, but yes, "high school" stops at 11th grade. :3 Get all the entry-level jobs one year earlier than in the United States.
