So I started playing MapleStory again, just because I have a bit more free time than I should, and at first I wasn't interested in the PvP content.
I usually find PvP pretty pointless until endgame because you have to buy all this shit to upgrade your armor, have your own pots blah,blah,blah.

In MapleStory, I guess equips come into play a bit, but it really depends on your class alone. Stuff like mobility & range play huge,huge parts in combat from what I've seen.
What got me into trying it was the EXP aspect. Once I heard of people getting 30k EXP+ PER GAME, I was like "Well,fuck I wanna level up too.." So I started playing.


It was a long difficult road, my poor little I/L was too weak to do shit all to ANYONE. I was lucky enough to get 1k EXP in Ice Knight mode (It's like 1v9, but the 1 dude is suuuper buffed up)
I quit playing PvP and started questing like normal. Got to maybe 33-34 before I decided to try playing again.

This time I tried Free-For-All. And my first couple of matches were still pretty bad. However, one I started learning the map layout, things started getting better.

I started to get more EXP per game, and eventually started leveling up maybe one per game. It was fantastic (keep in mind I was early 40's then.)

Then I started getting a reputation. Coming in 1st multiple times and raking in the EXP stirred some people.

At first it was general things, like "Fucking mages." or "Wow, cheap ass."
Then it became a little bit more personal: "Ur a hacker."
Then it got even worse. I just joined a game and began playing as usual, the guys I was playing against were pretty high leveled, and I figured they knew how to control their characters.


Yeah, they didn't.

Easy kill after easy kill I started raking in the points until this one Dual Blader dude said "Everyone gang up on him" (there were 4 of us.) and this Assassin dude agreed with them.

At first I was worried but then I started to think, "seriously, you guys are gonna try and TEAM up in a FREE-FOR-ALL?"
I just teleported around the map, letting them weaken themselves and then I'd shock them to death.

Of course I won with almost double their points because they were too busy crying. I remember typing at one point "STEP YO GAME UP FELLAS!"

After that match this guy "politely" pulled me aside:



Later on in the day, I won a few more matches against some other dudes and this is what one had to say:



It got to the point where I would join a match, and people would be like "dam" right from the get-go.

I'm getting easy levels AND trolling people at the same time?

Winning.
