I liked it better when the lists of blogs and everything were on the left side of the page. Everything else..still getting used to it.
Sorry I'm just not a big fan of change that makes me feel disoriented

Clicking on "New blog" lets you submit a new blog. Clicking on "New thread" lets you submit a new thread.

I'm not really sure what to say.

Most sites with a two column layout have the smaller one on the right, ie reddit or digg. Just moving it to the left and merging what used to be in the right panel on 3 column pages into the left doesn't seem like a massive change to me.

As for mistaking this for a forum post, it's tagged as a QoTW answer, which implies to me you clicked the answer this question link on the QoTW page. QoTWs have always been answered as a blog post. The form on the dashboard for new blogs is different than the one for threads. The only slightly confusing thing I could possibly see is that the title of "new blog/thread/fragment" hides when you expand the form.

Having it on the right doesn't really bother me. But maybe there should just be an alternate style with the column on the left to satisfy everyone. But really, if you leave it there long enough everyone will eventually get used to it and there won't be anymore complaints. It's not like there's been any functional change, it's just visual.

Thanks. And why is there a like/dislike feature? it's negative and not needed imo. Seeing 0 likes is way better than seeing actual dislikes.
It was great with likes and I'd rather see 0 likes on my blogs than a rating of -8. 0 likes is less hurtful than a negative rating.
I think it would be better to get rid of the whole rate thing. Say if Nass got dislikes on his blogs, he would have quit (as would I)
:(

Dislikes probably means that the blog contains content that is either useless/uncreative/harmful/not considered a blog.

Granted, I think people would leave regardless if they have 0 likes or negative likes. Mob mentality is also a factor, which is why you can't up/down vote comments. Lots of sites have up/down voting, Reddit does it, and it's one of the most popular news aggregators out there.

Just think of it as a way to improve. If people don't like that sort of content, then don't push out that type of content. Eventually you'll hit the right track.

VuTales is mostly forward thinking, so I doubt you'll have issues discussing any topic.

No I would cuss at everyone, THEN quit. I think I did that....like twice.
After a while, you kinda "know" what people want to read and what they don't. I know that people don't really like reading about my "adventures" all the time, and tbh even I get tired of typing them out (kinda like being in a room with a bunch of people, and I'm the only one talking...gets kinda boring and awkward.)

But hey,you write whatever you wanna write, people will get used to your content after a while.

You know, if you know your problem there are steps to fixing it.
Ignoring your problem is probably the worst.

And hory shet our first negative blog, 3 days after the release!

But that's the thing, I don't really want to.
I mean, you guys only actually respond to my blogs that involve either thoughtful/insightful moments or something having to do innocent love.
If I actually kept blogging like that,we'd just be back at square one.
I blog about whatever I want to blog about and if you guys don't read that one, oh well, there's always next time.

This is one of the things I like about you Nass.

@Wolf: Actually, Nass's first blog after V3 was negative for a while, haha.

On a serious note, separate the blog from yourself. No one's saying they dislike you, just this blog. I'm sure you know how people around here dislike short blogs, lazy grammar, and poorly explained things they disagree with. You managed to combine all three in one blog. This shouldn't be a surprise. The point of the like system is not to say, "I don't like you" or "I disagree with you." It's to show whether you think the blog was well written, interesting, creative, etc.

@ Tarheel91

Thanks for the advice. I didn't know Nass' first v3 blog was negative. I havent been on that much really. Thanks for telling me the -/+ thing applies to blogs and not the person. I know not to post continuous chapters of stories that go nowhere, so that problem's fixed. I just want to post short fics when i can think of them and rant about my life. i was somewhat afraid of a mob mentality like "o god another blog from Wolf..." .

And I'm still getting used to the new site
