Loooong time no see! It’s been roughly 1 year since I’ve last visited Vutales and a lot has happened for everyone it seems. I still spy some old faces here like- David who still appears to be hacking like a boss, Nass chasing girls and smoking shrooms, and AznRiceFan who is still pumping out his never-ending epic fanfics.
So I just graduated from the IB (high school) this summer, I am 18, and currently taking a gap year to study intensive Danish, find a job, and try out different workplaces before hopefully embarking into studying IT Media and Design in Denmark next year.
In August I travelled back to my home country- Vietnam due to a HUGE whim but partly because a Vietnamese friend of mine happened to be forced to return to Vietnam as his VISA expired, and consequently he was obliged to return to VN in order to renew his VISA. Thus, I decided to order a two-way flight to Vietnam with him because I was free after graduating, and also because it was generally more convenient to go with an amigo. I stayed in Vietnam for one month, and the experience overall was QUITE an adventure and GREAT fun :D since I haven’t been back to VN for 11 years. Industrial booming was obvious in sight after 11 years. There was traffic was chaotic, bedlam was everywhere, pollution, and constant construction. The climate was something to adapt to since I was used to the cool climate in Denmark.
There I visited all my relatives, went to different places, ate all the memorable and mouth-watering Vietnamese dishes (Pho, Nem, fried noodles *drools*)
I could within the time, and oh yes I also tried a cat at one point :D. The trip back Vietnam was completely worth it.
In October I got my Danish citizenship because it made studying abroad possible, and therefore, I had to renounce my Vietnamese citizenship (dual citizenship isn’t allowed here), and so I’m officially a Dane. Since I’m 18 and have a Danish citizenship, I received a letter from the military several weeks later, saying that I had to attend an exam to determine if I was suitable to join the danish military
. After undergoing an IQ and health test, the result was that I didn’t have to join the military because my Danish proficiency wasn’t good enough to join. I was pretty relieved since I honestly didn’t want to join military for shit.
Enough with my personal life. In February after becoming considerably good in playing S4 League, I decided to take a break from S4 and play a different game- League of Legends.
League of Legends or also known as LoL is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) similar DoTA from Warcraft 3 and Heroes of Newerth.
In LoL, there are two teams of usually 5 players. Each player or ‘summoner’ chooses their own ‘champion’ which has his/her role as a caster, carry, tank, support, etc. When all players have selected a champion, the game begins. In LoL there are two bases, one for each team. The objective in LoL is to destroy the enemy base or ‘nexus’ by pushing the lanes which lead to it. Naturally, each team has to strategically work to together to defeat the opposing team. LoL overall is a very teamwork-oriented game. It is not possible for one player to wipe out an entire team.
When a friend of mine first introduced LoL to me, I avoided playing it because the cartoonish appearance, but after playing LoL together with some friends for a few months, and gradually familiarized myself to the different champions and the game mechanics, and began enjoying playing LoL. I’m lv 30 atm (the max level), maining as Lux, and rolling like a boss. If anyone is interested to try out LoL, My IGN is Quangsen, I play on the NA server, and I am pretty free much to play anytime to help any newcomers ;)
