Hey guys, Dest here once again. Today, I'm going to talk about Aika Online, an MMORPG currently in open beta testing. I will talk about the Pros and Cons of the game and why you should join. But first, I'm going to discuss how I found out about the game.

On one fateful Memorial Day weekend, FunnyFroggy approached me with a proposition, (these quotes aren't exactly how the conversation went, but you get the gist of it) "Hey, check out this new game I found out about."

"What is it?"

"Aika Online."

"What's it about?"

"It's an MMORPG. Like SUN Online. You get to have a Pran (fairies that help you and are soo cute), get to do a buttload of quests, and you get to see semi-pornographic 3D characters attack monsters!"

"Oooh, I like the sound of that!"

I checked out Aika Online through their website. I thought it seemed interesting, so I looked up some videos on YouTube. I wasn't so sure about joining, since I had stopped playing any online games since my days in Combat Arms (Cumbutt Legz, lol).

"Alright, I'll download it later. I gotta do some other stuff first." I finally replied.

So, I eventually got down to downloading it from here and signed up for gPotato.

Then, I was ready to go. I messaged Froggy.

"Yo dawg, I'm loading it up."

I let it patch, and finally, the dreaded loading screen came up.

"Dude," I said, "Why the hell does the loading bar stop halfway?"

"Oh," he replied, "It happens the first time you start it up." Ugh.

BUT! My time would come later, as my computer would come down with a nasty virus, which I ironically got from torrenting an anti-virus program.. My computer froze, and every time I tried to boot up, it would Blue Screen of Mother Fucking Death on me. Even in Safe Mode! So, I had no choice but to reinstall Windows XP. I lost all my homework, music, and pictures, but at least I get a fresh start, right?

So, first order of business after downloading drivers, Avast! anti-virus, Windows Live, CCleaner and etc., I re-downloaded Aika.

This time, the loading screen only got stuck once, but after that, home free!

Froggy was a Rifleman (in Maplestory terms, a Crossbowman), so I chose to be a Dual Gunner (Bowman).

Cons
Lots of HP Pot usage
Armor costs alot unless you make it yourself
Poor defense

So yeah, I got myself a Fairy (Pran), and there are three stages I think? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's Fairy, Child, and then Teen. Then there are different personalities, like Cute, Hyper, Mature, Intelligent, Tough, and Mean. The Mature Pran always makes sexual innuendos whenever it talks. Tarheel91 wants one.

So yeah, the night I joined, Froggy and I entered the VuTales Group chat, and had an interesting conversation (also not exactly how it went, but close enough):
Froggy: I like pranz
Me: I like prans too
Froggy: Pran is good
Me: I love pran
DarkDragoon (Lee): I like them too!
Me: Ew, you perv.
Froggy: Ya, Lee, you're a pervert.
DarkDragoon: no u
Me: You do know we are talking about a game right?
DarkDragoon: nope
Me: It's called Aika Online. You should join because Froggy and I did.

...and after that, a giant group of people joined as well (Gujju, Aaron, Lithium, Tarheel91, Pirkid Saintofsin [he already knew about the game, he picked it up again after we made that forum thread about it], and even possibly Nass and Snowhamster).

Pros:
Fun
Lots of semi-naked women
Lots of VuTalers are playing
Nice community
Cool skills
Quests are fun to do

Cons:
Some quests require lots of grinding
Loading screen can piss you off
Gender-restricted classes
Costs alot of money to buy armor
Learning curve when you first start
Level cap at 50
