LET US EXPLORE THE LIFE OF BOGDAN.
LOLWUT
Bogdan has a ton of sites, domains, and pet projects that he has used the same interface, same layout, same CMS, same hoster - I'm not talking about 4 or 5 including BasilMarket - I'm talking about dozens upon dozens of sites that all cost him money with little to no cost at all because they're pretty much all hosted on the same plan. Thus, his excuse that it was shut down due to "lack of expected revenue" is quite frankly, disappointing - and a slap in the face. Why? Because he didn't even come up front and say that, okay, you guys suck, so I'm shutting it down.
Instead, he gave us a half-assed bullshit lie. That's what he gave us. And that did tick off a lot of people.
Second, I remember reading his first blog, about how MMOTales would be the place where you can blog about anything, your adventures, etc. At first, y'know, as he is with every single project, he develops it, and goes all out. Then, he slacks off, and eventually goes do other stuff. We don't blame him, admins lose interest. However, the only times after the site was relatively complete was to take negative actions. He IP banned me, then IP banned Guruji for discussing Private Servers as well as making a case against him. Then, when we got frustrated with him not even allowing 5 minutes of his precious time making music on Sony Acid to be spent on the MMOTales community - and after several weeks, if not months of trying to contact him, Mipsacri stated his name on BasilMarket as a way to garner just a fraction of his "o so godly" attention, she was stripped of her moderator status, and placed on a ban as well. Understandable if you go to the extreme side, fair punishment? Maybe, maybe not. However... his name was pretty much public anyway. Google basilmarket or who.is it - the information was there.
Third, I completely understand why Bogdan warned Vusys for his obvious copy of MMOTales. I do.
However, Bogdan coming out raging (again) a few months after VuTales has already formed, completely made out of scratch, and not even close to the "blatant" rip-off of his CMS that he claims, this is similar to the Apple vs. HTC case. Apple, the giant monolithic idiot, decides to file lawsuits against HTC over a few small smartphone (generic) patents, a smaller hardware manufacturer that obviously don't have the support it needs to fend off Apple. With the help of Google recently, they're managing, but hell, is it really worth it for Apple? Similarly, is it worth it for Bogdan? How many visitors does this site garner on a weekly basis? Twenty? Thirty? Won't you spend more funds, if you honestly decide to go so far as to file a DMCA and if it escalates, take it to court with a lawyer?
How much do you think that will take?
How many sites do you think that amount of money could support?
Fact of the matter is, that, yes, we are frustrated, and rightfully so. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that Bogdan should continue to take action against Vusys. It's just outlandish and childish of him.
That's the point we're trying to make. We're not attacking you, Elaine, or Nass, on a personal basis. We don't hate you (though we can't say the same about you to us), but the way that you're defending him, and the light that you are shining him on, is just frankly, saddening. Both of you were not around for the full story, and the way that it goes, if you don't know or understand what you're talking about, might as well shut up and let the other party talk. It makes their lives easier, it makes your lives easier.
And I wouldn't have to feel obligated and jump into this mess.
Good day.
P.S. On another note, that DMCA system is fucking broken. Someone needs to fix it.

Oh, and one last thing I felt that you two should consider.
Content is content, and no matter how bad it is, how worthless it is, it still is content. I remember that first blog I ever wrote, on how someone dropped a Maple Soul Singer in Kerning City, and how I was a level 23 thief at the time and was able to snatch it right before that person's very eyes, I felt like a king.
I blogged about it, and at the time, it was as if I had gone on an amazing adventure.
In retrospect, that blog looks quite pathetic. I own several accounts that are upwards of level 200, 150, 130, 120, you name the level range, I probably have an account in there. And yet, I still can't quite forget about the days when picking up a soul singer used to be amazing. Now what are they worth to me? Next to nothing.
But, similarly to a baby picture, it's that sense of nostalgia that you get when you look back, even two years ago, on the stuff that you wrote. Why do you think we never bothered to save our stuff? We were young, we were naive. We didn't perhaps want blogs of stuff saved in notepad files that our parents could discover. Yes, mine do screen my computer. Maybe yours don't, but different parents, different circumstances.
What I'm trying to say is, the fact that you're implying that either 1) our memories are worthless, 2) we should've been more careful, are extremely judgmental and immature. I am not one to judge you either, but, against my best intentions, I have to point out that you two are wrong on many levels. Please be more considerate of the content other people write - it matters to them, even if it doesn't to you. We're not prophets either. We can't look into the future. He gave us no warning, none at all. We had no time to save those fragments of our lives that we recorded.
Sure, the fragments of the fragments are stored away in internet archives, but there are those specific pieces you just might want to read again you know? The way Bogdan acted demonstrated that he had no care for the community, nor did he care the slightest bit about the content. If you don't care what occurs on your site, why take it down if it didn't require revenue? Simple - he thought that we were worthless, and to add insult to injury, continue to pursue us with this almost obsession like state of discrimination. We are children, some of us legal adults, but when Bogdan, a 34 year old male barges into a conversation going on between kids, it's just awkward.
And that's all I can say right now about this whole thing - it's just awkward. The fact that you are defending him is awkward. The fact that everyone is pretty much flaming you is awkward. The fact that I'm able to string together paragraphs is just awkward.
Please - just let it go. No need to defend yourselves any further.
