Zappy, he did that to teach her with "tough love". Courage is something you can't be learned from others; you have to learn it on your own. V taught Evey this courage personally so he did not have to risk losing her, as she would have been killed if this was all done in the hands of the Chancellor.

Well, it wasn't Guy Fawkes, it was V.

He did it so she would no longer feel fear, having had her head shaved, been beaten, tortured, and left alone all at the hands of The Fingers lead by Mr. Creedy (Or so she thought).

V for Vendetta was epic. But I still didn't understand it. And then trying to read about it made my brain hurt. So yea what I'm trying to say is I have no idea whats going on.
